Third-party software notices
Last updated: September 3, 2026
PacketMole uses GL.iNet routers running GL.iNet firmware, which is based on OpenWrt, and uses Tailscale for the private network connection. Those products include open-source software governed by their respective licenses and notices.
PacketMole's proprietary license applies only to our overlay, factory tooling, artwork, and documentation. It does not replace or restrict the licenses, notices, source-code rights, or warranty disclaimers that apply to software from GL.iNet, OpenWrt, Linux, Tailscale, or their dependencies.
Shipped-version record
The two retained orders fulfilled through packetmole.com and reviewed September 3, 2026 used GL.iNet firmware 4.7.13 on the GL-MT2500A Home unit and 4.8.1 on the GL-MT3000 Away unit. Their PacketMole overlay versions were 0.1.19 and 0.1.20. The exact per-unit Tailscale client version was not retained for those historical shipments; future fulfillment records capture it.
